City of Nampa announces Christmas tree recycling starting December 26

Kohlerlawn Cemetary Tree Recycling 2020-2021

The City of Nampa will accept Christmas trees for recycling between Saturday, December 26, 2020 through Saturday, January 16, 2021. Trees may be dropped off at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, located at 76 6th Street North, Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Residents are asked to follow directional signs on Weamer Lane for the drop-off location at the compost site within the cemetery. Staff are available to answer questions regarding the drop-off location at the cemetery office or by calling 208-468-5898 prior to drop-off.

Due to Kohlerlawn Cemetery funeral service schedules, residents are asked to only leave trees at the dedicated drop-off site and not at the cemetery office or cemetery shop.

Trees must be free of stands, lights, ornaments, tinsel and other objects. The trees will be mulched and used throughout the City on walking paths and in tree wells.
