City of Nampa continues to serve community through online services and in person meetings by appt.

As the State of Idaho returns to a modified Stage 2, the City of Nampa has updated their continued service to the community to keep residents, customers and staff safe and healthy.

The City of Nampa will continue to assist customers remotely through online services, phone and email. We are requiring those visiting City of Nampa departments in person to please wear face coverings to protect our staff. For the health and safety of our staff and the entire community, the City asks customers to only visit our facilities if they are healthy; if customers are feeling sick (experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.), are awaiting COVID-19 test results or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive or awaiting test results, please allow us to assist you remotely. 

Any location currently open within the City of Nampa will adhere to physical distancing guidelines and, therefore, capacity within buildings will be reduced. Below please find specific updates from various department within the City of Nampa:


In support of virtual public testimony, the City of Nampa has provided alternatives to provide testimony at Nampa City Council and Planning & Zoning meetings. NAMPA CITY HALL / CLERK’S OFFICE | 411 3rd Street South

The Clerk’s office will provide passports service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays by appointment only.

The Nampa Development Services Center includes Building Safety & Facilities Development, Economic & Community Development, Engineering / GIS, Environmental Compliance, Planning & Zoning and Public Works Administration. The Nampa Development Services Center will close to the public, but will continue providing services through online services. Meetings, if needed, will be scheduled by appointment, or take place via virtual platform.

  • Building Department will be available to service clients by phone (208-468-5435) and email ( Processing of online residential, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical permits will continue.
  • Economic & Community Development will be available by appointment only and can be reached by calling (208) 468-5430 or visiting  
  • Environmental Compliance will be available to service clients by phone (208-565-5257) and email ( 
  • Planning & Zoning will be accessible via phone (208-468-4430) and email ( and will continue to perform inspections as deemed necessary. Public hearings will be noticed as usual and will offer webinar testimony and distanced in-person testimony, if required.
  • Public Works Administration Office will be closed to in-person meetings; however, office staff will be available to answer questions by phone (208-565-5262) and email (



Burn permits continue to be available by first calling (208) 468-5770 and then completing the application process by mail or email.

NAMPA PARKS & RECREATION | 131 Constitution Way

  • The Nampa Recreation Center will remain open with current health and safety precautions already incorporated and make any adjustments necessary for the modified Stage 2 order. For more detailed information, visit or call (208) 468-5777 with questions.
  • The Nampa Senior Center will continue to provide curbside pickup for lunches, but the dining area will remain closed at this time. 
  • Both municipal golf courses, Centennial Golf Course and Ridgecrest Golf Club, will remain open.


The Nampa Public Library is currently closed, however, patrons can still place library items on hold from their account ( and pick them up at the permanent holds pickup window, located on 3rd St. S. next to the outdoor book return. The hours for this service are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Monday-Thursday) and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Friday and Saturday). The library is offering computer sessions by appointment and patrons can sign up by calling (208) 468-4474 or visiting and clicking to current services. The computer session hours are from 9am – 5pm (Monday-Friday) and 9am – 4pm (Friday and Saturday). Computer session appointments are for 45-minutes and begin at the top of the hour. Masks are required.

UTILITY BILLING | 401 3rd Street South

Nampa’s utility billing will continue to serve customers in person during regular hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Customers are encouraged to make payments using touchless options: online, over the phone (208-468-5711), through the mail or at our drop box located in our parking lot near 4th Street.
