Starlight Mountain Theatre Dinner and a Show
Starlight Mountain Theatre is an outdoor theatre nestled in the mountains of Garden Valley. Each summer features a lineup of popular musicals. Enjoy dinner with the cast before the entertaining performance. Trip includes transportation, dinner and admission to the show.

American Red Cross Babysitter Training
In this one-day class learn information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children. Course includes handbook, Emergency Reference Guide and CD with fun activities and support resources. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Red Cross Babysitter Training Certification card. Please bring a sack lunch.

Red Cross Lifeguard Training
This course is designed for experienced swimmers ages 15 and older that want to become Red Cross Lifeguards. Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications are awarded upon successful completion of the course. Course prerequisites are: 300 yard swim using front crawl and breaststroke, retrieval of a 10 pound brick from 7ft of water and two minutes of treading water with no hands. If you are unsure whether you can complete the prerequisites, sign up for a skills evaluation. Refund request must be made 4 business days before start of class.

American Red Cross Swimming Lessons
Taught by certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. To view class descriptions, visit the “Aquatics” page on our website or stop by the Rec Center.
• Each child must pass a particular level and granted a Red Cross Card before proceeding to the next level.
• All age requirements must be followed unless instructor’s approval has been granted.
• It is not uncommon for a child to stay in a particular level for several sessions before successful completion.
• Classes missed for vacation, injury, sickness or any other reason cannot be made up and are non-refundable.
Unsure of what level your child should be placed in? Sign your child up for a 5-10 minute skills evaluation with a certified instructor who will recommend an appropriate level.

Traditions Tang Soo Do
This class teaches self-confidence, builds self-esteem and improves balance, while establishing discipline and courtesy towards others. Participants will learn age appropriate self-defense and weapons training. These classes are non-violent; sparring is optional.

Tai Chi Classes
The beginning class covers the fundamentals of Tai Chi including: basic movements, breathing, meditation, warm-up form and an introduction on the Yang Style Short form. The intermediate class continues with movements, breathing, meditation, the Yang Short form, Yang Long form, fan form, sword form and an introduction to push hands (Tai Chi sparring).
Basic Archery: Students will learn basic technique and form using a compound bow. Equipment, safety and elements of shooting will be covered. Advanced Archery: Class will cover equipment, safety and advanced form and technique using a compound bow. All classes held at Nampa Bow Chiefs, 222 West Railroad. Equipment is provided. Students may use their own equipment with instructor approval. Registration deadline is the Friday prior to class.

Little Spikers Volleyball Camp
Young players will learn the basics of volleyball through drills and games Game play will focus on practicing new skills. Girls entering grades 3, 4, & 5 (if not played competitively)

Dig it! Volleyball Camp
This camp is designed for girls with minimal volleyball experience but is diverse enough to challenge players who have participated in volleyball camps and leagues. This camp teaches basic skills with a focus on getting multiple contacts on each side of the net. A variety of drills and games keep it fun for repeat campers.

Get Golf Ready Clinics
Get Golf Ready is an opportunity for adults to learn the game of golf in a fun and relaxed environment. The clinics will cover the basic fundamentals of golf, golf etiquette, and provide an on course experience at the end of the class. Beginning Rock Climbing
This class is designed for individuals who have little or no experience in rock climbing. These classes are held every second Saturday of the month. Come learn the basics of climbing, including; movement, hand positioning, footwork, belaying, and safety.

Nampa 33rd Annual Festival of the Arts
The Nampa Festival of the Arts is a celebration of the creative spirit of our diverse community, expressing cultural heritage through art, music and dance. This free 2-day community event is held in beautiful Lakeview Park. With over 190 artisan booths, you will be sure to find a treasure, whether it is jewelry, painting, sculpture, whimsical yard art and more. Discover exceptional talent in our juried art show. Salmon River Rafting-Riggins
Join the Nampa Recreation Department and H2O Idaho Rafting Company for an exciting whitewater rafting trip through rapids class II-IV and beautiful sandy beaches. Bring a lunch and plan to get wet! Trip includes transportation & rafting instruction.
Adult Flag Football
Each team will play six regular season games. All games will be played on Saturdays. The top three teams in each division will advance to the playoffs with the first seed receiving first round bye. Games start September 7.

12th Annual Pooch Party Stroll & Splash
Join us for the 12th annual Pooch Party at Lakeview Park and enjoy Nampa's largest dog festival! Bring your dog(s) and family members to participate in a scenic one mile walk around Lakeview Park. After the walk, Lakeview Water Park will open and the dogs will have the opportunity to splash around in the swimming pool. The Nampa Recreation Center is proud to offer a fun and energetic homeschool swimming P.E. program. Children of all swimming abilities will be able to participate in activities with other children of similar skills and ages in the swimming pool. On the first day children will be split up based swimming ability and age. During the two hour period each level group will receive a 30 minute group lesson from one of our nationally certified instructors, the rest is open recreational swimming time for the kids to interact, have fun and be active!

Nampa Youth Volleyball League
Sponsored by the Nampa Recreation Department. Offered in cooperation with the Nampa School District, this program will provide an opportunity for girls in the 5th and 6th grade to learn basic volleyball skills and teamwork in a recreational environment. Children register on a team coached by a parent volunteer. Each week, teams will have two 1-hour practices. Matches are played on Saturday mornings.
