The Nampa Fire Department will conduct a controlled burn west of 15885 Idaho Center Boulevard in Nampa July 17, 2019 from approximately 10 a.m. to noon. This controlled burn will be conducted on the City of Nampa land behind the above address.

The burn will be conducted for the following reasons:

  1. Help with control of invasive species;
  2. Provide a fire break between Ridgecrest Drive and the Bronco Motors property; and
  3. Provide a training opportunity for Wildland Fire Control for the Nampa Firefighters

The Nampa Fire Department would like motorists, businesses and citizens in the area to be aware of this event. While there may be some smoke, crews will do their best to minimize smoke in the area.

For questions, please contact the Operations Chief Chris King at 208-468-5770 or the On-Site/Event Contact Firefighter Jim Burdick at 208-859-5815.
