Nampa updates limits for on-street parking in downtown

04 12 2019 Downtown Nampa parking zones

After listening to various businesses and members of the community on ways to improve parking in downtown, the City of Nampa recently approved revisions to parking limits in the historic district.

The new parking limits are defined in a zoned management system with either a 2-hour or 4-hour on-street parking limit (see attached map).

Within the two zones there are a few areas of exception to the standard time limits and are listed below:

  • 10-minute parking next to the Nampa Library on 3rd Street South
  • 30-minute parking on 1st Street South adjacent to the historic library
  • Museum-only parking for employees on Front Street

Updated parking signs reflecting the changes were installed this week. Educational cards illustrating the new parking zones (see attached card) will be available for code compliance officers to leave with cars parking downtown, as needed.
