The City of Nampa is pleased to announce Doug Racine has been selected to serve as the new finance director effective February 25, 2019. Racine comes to the City of Nampa with more than 25 years of experience in auditing, accounting and finance.
Racine shared, “I would like to express my gratitude for being offered this new opportunity to serve as Nampa’s new Finance Director and I look forward to a long and growth-focused future!”
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Utah in 1987, Racine began his public accounting career auditing colleges and universities and earned his Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license while employed at a regional accounting firm.
Racine transitioned to work for Albertson’s where he progressed from Senior Financial Analyst, to General Ledger Manger, Finance Manager, Budget Director and finally to Albertson’s Director of Financial Planning and Analysis in 2006. In 2005, he was recognized as Albertson’s Accounting and Finance Leader of the Year for the Intermountain West Division. In 2006, he was selected as one of two Albertson’s Accounting & Finance leaders to attend Boise State’s Graduate Business School’s Management Training Program.
In 2013, he accepted a position with St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, as the Director of Finance.
While working and living in Idaho, Racine has donated time to community service programs, volunteered as a Boy Scout leader and taken advantage of Idaho’s many exceptional outdoor recreational opportunities. Racine has been married to his wife for 33 years and together they have four children.
Mayor Debbie Kling said, “While the search for a new Finance Director has been lengthy, we believe Doug is the right person for the job. Doug’s experience and analytical skills will be a great asset to the City of Nampa. We are very pleased to have him on board!”
Racine replaces former Finance Director Vikki Chandler who retired November 21, 2018.
