The meeting will focus on recent findings about existing conditions and future needs at the airport.
“Our team has completed a detailed review of what types of aircraft use the airport, the status of the current facility, and what needs we anticipate in the future. These findings will be instrumental in developing long-range plans for the airport,” said Nampa Airport Director Monte Hasl. “We are asking the community to review our work and give feedback.”
Nampa Airport’s existing master plan was developed in 2010. Rapid growth in the area and continued development has resulted in increasing aviation traffic, highlighting the need to adopt a new plan that better addresses the growing demand at the Nampa Airport.
Potential improvements will be evaluated based on public input, safety, efficiency, cost, convenience and other factors. The city is hosting a series of public meetings in 2018 and 2019 to gather input.
"Feedback from the community and airport users is critical for providing a high level of aviation service and supporting economic development in the community," said Hasl. “We encourage any interested community members to stop by and give input.”
