Pickleball is a combination of badminton, tennis and ping pong. It is played on a badminton size court using a wiffle ball and composite paddle. It is easy for beginners to learn and can develop into competitive play for experienced players. Gym shoes required. Class is for active older adults.

Learn drawing with a see-touch-do method that all kids can succeed with, learn from and love! Children already love to draw – now take their love a little further by giving them a solid foundation that will take their drawings from doodles to confidence boosting achievements. The lessons for this session are a combination of elementary drawing and cartooning.

Step back in time with the Nampa Rec Department as we visit the two-story sandstone Bown Home near Riverside Elementary. This historic home was built by Joseph and Temperance Bown in 1879 with sandstone from Table Rock. After our tour we will have lunch in Boise at Life’s Kitchen. Life’s Kitchen is a 16-week culinary training program that provides opportunities to young adults that face barriers to success in their lives. Trip includes transportation, lunch and admission.

Engineering for Kids gives kids the opportunity to design, build, test, and refine their own creations ranging from the Aerospace Engineering field to Intro to Robotics Programming. Kids will design air-powered rockets, assemble model blimps and work with VEX IQ Robots to build and program their robot to perform simple movements.

Come play in our 3 on 3 tournament at Creech’s court, across from the Lakeview Water Park. This tournament will provide an opportunity for players to come together and challenge each other in a fast paced and unique version of basketball. There will be Men’s and Coed divisions available. Games will be to 20pts or highest score after 25min. Games will be self-officiated. This tournament will be double elimination starting on Saturday morning at 11am.

Adult-Fall Coed Recreational Volleyball League
Nampa Recreation Department is offering a Coed Recreational Volleyball League. Each
team will play ten regular season matches. League play will begin on September 23. Teams play two matches a week with a double elimination tournament scheduled at the end of league play. Games will be played at West Middle School gym (Monday-Thursday nights).
$150 early registration September 3
$185 late registration September 10
Player fee: $10 Nampa residents, $15 Nonresidents

What is under the ground in Idaho? We will join with leaders from Gem State Grotto to visit a cave (possibly two) in the Shoshone area. This tour will require crawling, bending, stooping and walking. Please contact the Program Desk for a detailed equipment list. Pack your lunch and backpack for this underground tour.
