Industrial Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, June 5, marking the beginning of a $2.5 million project that will improve the roadway for residents, motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Roadways in the project area will be closed to through traffic with detour routes established.
The city of Nampa will reconstruct the following roadways:
The contractor will phase the construction work to minimize the inconvenience to the public and limit the road closure areas. The initial construction phase will include 20th Street North from Industrial Road to the cul-de-sac and Industrial Road from North 20th Street to 11th Avenue North Extension.
Construction is expected to start in early June and barring unforeseen complications should be complete in October. Minor water service disruptions are expected. Some night and weekend work may be necessary to minimize impacts to the railroad operations and to minimize road closure durations.
