New traffic signal at Garrity Boulevard & 39th Street wraps up with timing adjustments to follow

The installation of a new traffic signal at the Garrity Boulevard and 39th Street intersection has been completed and the signals will begin functioning Monday, May 1, according to Assistant City Engineer Jeff Barnes. The timing of the lights will be adjusted through next week.

The cost to purchase property, design and construct the signal was $650,000. The project was designed to improve traffic safety and enhance pedestrian access.
