The Landlord Training seminar is designed to help keep illegal activity off rental properties, and each training session will review topics found in training manuals you will receive upon event check-in. Training topics will include: applicant screening, fair housing updates, rental agreements, ongoing management, community building/apartment watch, crime prevention, warning signs of illegal activity, working with the police and crisis resolution/eviction.

Training sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, and/or Wednesday, May 3 at the Les Schwab Corral (Ford Idaho Center Horse Park), located at 16200 Idaho Center Blvd., Nampa, ID 83687.

How Do I Register?

Visit: www.surveymonkey.com/r/cdritraining for online registration, fill out a registration form found on city of Nampa’s website at: http://www.cityofnampa.us/582/Landlord-Training and return by email/fax/mail, or register by phone with the Community Development team by calling 208-468-5407.

Based on previous training sessions, reactions from landlords who have completed the course are consistently strong and positive and landlords and managers overwhelmingly agree the training increased their confidence in screening rental applicants and their ability to recognize warning signs of drug activity. This training has become a useful problem solving tool and has proven to be an important part of reclaiming and protecting residential neighborhoods.
