City already addressing emerging potholes; public invited to report them as well

pot holes

With still two months of winter left, a Nampa Street Division crew is already out repairing emerging potholes. Drivers are asked to please be aware of the possibility of potholes because of the severe weather we have experienced in the past months.

Potholes, sadly, come after a season of deep cold temperatures and heavy precipitation. Water in the ground freezes and thaws, making the asphalt expand and contract, creating cracks in the road and eventually potholes.

Crews are fixing potholes they find them and weather allows. With nearly 800 lane miles of streets, it isn’t easy to find them all immediately, so your help is appreciated. You can report potholes one of three different ways:

Please be sure to include the name of the street and the nearest cross streets.
