City of Nampa seeks Christmas tree for Downtown

The City of Nampa Parks and Forestry Department is looking for residents who are willing to donate a 25-to 30-foot tall evergreen, pine or spruce tree for the Downtown Christmas tree. Spruce trees are the preferred species because they are fuller trees. Additionally, trees must be located within or very close to the Nampa city limits with easy access for the equipment.

The tree will be placed in Downtown Nampa at the Horse Mural Park at 1st Street and 12th Avenue.  Mayor Bob Henry will officially light the city Christmas tree and thank the family donating the tree at approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. Musical programs will start shortly after 5 p.m.

To offer your tree for donation, please contact the Parks Department at 468-5890.
