The Nampa Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the opening of a new playground at Lions Park in Nampa.  The playground will be opened to the public for the first time at the ribbon cutting scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 25, at 4:30 p.m.

The Lions Club of Nampa established the 15-acre Lions Park in 1952 with the goal of serving Nampa’s youth. The park offers a variety of park amenities including playgrounds, softball fields, a swimming pool, tennis courts and more. The newly constructed playground replaces an existing playground in the park and creates a new area and new features for kids to play and enjoy the park.

The playground was constructed using a combination of CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funds, a donation from Republic Services, and city resources. The Nampa Parks & Recreation Department is excited to invite the community for the opening of the playground. Lions Park is located at Winther Boulevard and Lyons Drive.
