Nampa Mayor Bob Henry is accepting applications for the vacant seat on the Nampa City Council now that Pam White has been elected to the Canyon County Board of Commissioners.
“I want to congratulate Pam White on her election,” Henry said. “I think she will be a great asset on the county commission and do what she believes is best for the county. I also appreciate her service as a City Council member.”
Applications must be submitted by noon Monday, Nov. 28, and names will be released to the media. Henry said he hopes to make a decision by mid-December.
Applications should include the following:
“There’s no magic formula for whom would be the best candidate,” Henry said. “I’m looking for applicants who are open minded and interested in serving his or her community.”
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the city of Nampa, a registered voter and lived in Nampa for at least 30 days. City council positions are nonpartisan.
