Nampa organizations are partnering to provide a community resource and health fair at Lakeview Park on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Health professionals from Saint Alphonsus, St. Luke’s, Saltzer Medical Group, Terry Reilly and Eyecare Associates will provide free back to school sports physicals, dental exams, vision screenings and mammograms.
This free event is targeted to North Central Nampa residents, but all are welcome. The city of Nampa and partner organizations received an Invest Health grant aimed at improving long term health outcomes in North Central Nampa. In order to determine resident needs, a survey will be available at the Aug. 6 fair. All who complete the survey will receive a free lunch at the park sponsored by St. Luke’s, Saint Alphonsus, Simplot and several civic organizations.
Along with health services, community resource agencies will be at the park. Nampa School District will provide information about new programs for students and job opportunities for adults. The Idaho Food Bank will distribute food boxes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nampa city’s mobile recreation program will offer fun activities for kids.
